Portable Showers Residents with Money, Says He Gives Back More to the Community Than His Colleagues
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has sparked reactions online after he was seen showering residents with money.
The singer, who is known for his street style and raunchy lyrics, was filmed in a video handing out wads of cash to people in a community.
Portable claimed that he often gives away N2 million to community members and that many of his colleagues do not do the same.
“I often spray N2m to the streets,” he said in the video. “Unlike some of my colleagues, I give back to the community.”
Some people online praised Portable for his generosity, while others questioned whether he was just trying to get attention.
“One thing I believe about Portable is that if he was wealthy like the likes of Davido, Wizkid or Burna Boy, he would never forget the streets he came out from unlike the ones I just mentioned,” wrote one Twitter user.
Another user commented, “Na like dis Davido, Wizkid and others take show him love? He dey spray money dat can not even pay one student school fees una say he dey show love. Abi clout chasing Mtweeeew.”
