“Una Go Kee Me” – Verydarkman Tearfully Apologizes to Mercy Chinwo Over N1.1 Billion Lawsuit

Popular social critic, Verydarkman (VDM), has tearfully and sarcastically begged gospel singer Mercy Chinwo for forgiveness following a N1.1 billion lawsuit she filed against him. The lawsuit, which was dated March 3, was in response to a series of Instagram posts where VDM accused Mercy Chinwo of holding back her performance earnings instead of paying them to her former record label, owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, also known as EeZee Tee.
In reaction to the lawsuit, VDM went live on Instagram, lamenting that he could not afford to meet the financial demands. He listed about seven other people who have also taken legal action against him, expressing his frustration over the rising legal battles.
During the live session, VDM was seen tearfully pleading with Mercy Chinwo to lower the lawsuit amount. In a mix of humor and desperation, he sang some of her songs and appealed to her to reduce the amount to N5 million, which he claimed was all he could afford.
In his words, VDM said:
“Una go kee me, the money wey dey inside the NGO sef no reach that amount. I know this case is not a case I can go on, so it is better I tender an apology. Mercy, don’t let the devil use you. I don’t have N1bn to pay in case you win. Abeg, I am not saying you should not sue, reduce the money, maybe to N5m.”

His dramatic outburst sparked mixed reactions online, with some finding it amusing and others criticizing him for not taking the situation seriously.
The video quickly gained attention, with fans flooding social media with different opinions. While some were entertained by his dramatic plea, others felt he was making a mockery of the situation and advised him to handle it privately.
As the saga continues, all eyes are now on Mercy Chinwo to see if she will respond to the apology or proceed with the lawsuit.
