“Traffic” at the Lagos-Ibadan expressway as Trucks breakdown

Breakdown of trucks along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday morning as left most of the commuters and motorists stranded on their way.

A fully loaded truck that lost its control followed by another truck that broke down at the Kara construction area along the expressway caused the difficulty on the road according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The malfunction of the two trucks resulted in hold up on both parts of the expressway also causing massive traffic at the Isheri Magodo, Alausa, Ogba and income traffic from the Alapere axis, Ojota and Ikorodu road.

“The traffic is at dead-stop on the Lagos Ibadan expressway following a collision that happened at the Kara construction area, but the trucks have been evacuated.

“A fully loaded truck lost control crossing the entire road both inwards and outwards. Our men are on the ground trying to pull it off the road without much success due to the load it’s carrying,” a statement from the FRSC command explained.
