Traditional Prime Minister Reacts To War in Nnamdi kanu’s community

This is not a political article or news but rather of what has actually happened in Nnamdi kanu’s community in the past days as narrated by Chief Chimechefulam Odoemelem the traditional Prime Minister of Afaraukwu autonomous community in ibeku Umuahia North LGA.

The event which has been Carried as headlines in various major national and international media houses has generated a lot of heat and tension in Isiama Afaraukwu ibeku.


In an exclusive interview, the traditional Prime Minister, chief Chimechefulam Odoemelem. The chief who doubles as the present traditional head of the community, since the demise of HRM Eze I I kanu, Egwu II of Afaraukwu, narrated that contrary to reports by some sections of the media, that there is no war in Isiama Afaraukwu the home of Nnamdi kanu but rather a breakdown of law and order by persons plotting to highjacked the reins of the community.

In his words “first of all let me make some clearfication, ikechukwu Ndubueze, who is parading himself as the President General of the community, is not the community president, that his tenure as president of community has since expired in October 2019 inline with the community constitution, thus he is impersonating.


Continuing, the traditional Prime Minister noted that he was not around when the fracas started, but the reliable information he got was that Doris Ogala, the prime victim was trying to increase their family fence and reinforce their gate, ikechukwu Ndubueze, who is known for fighting women attacked her.

According to chief Odoemelem, who acknowledge that he never what caused the trouble, but that he was informed that many people were wounded, a car was burnt by some village youth lead by Emmanuel kanu aka fineboy, Ben ohaeri and ikechukwu Ndubueze.


He recalled that, Doris Ogala’s late father was the first person to build an upstairs in the community, when the community was under developed. Late Ogala also bore and brought up all his children here in Isiama Afaraukwu for over 30years and have living harmoniously with the host community.

Chief Odoemelem, called on the Nigeria security forces to intervene in the matter, noting that the Ogala’s are free to stay in Isiama Afaraukwu, expect they want to leave on their own free will and that no amount of treat from Emmanuel kanu, IPOB leader’s younger brother, ikechukwu Ndubueze and Ben ohaeri will stop him as a traditionalist from speaking and standing for the truth.


He charged the security agencies to conduct an independent and unbiased investigation to what is happening in what used to be a peaceful community. “It is not a community issue, or war”. He noted that arson is a serious offence and those involved should be brought to book.

Investigation revealed that property worth millions of naira were destroy and Doris and her friend critically wounded.
