The headlines of mainstream Nigerian newspapers for Wednesday, November 6, are focused on outrage that trailed presidency’s comment on ex-presidents, Adams Oshiomhole’s comment on where President Muhammadu Buhari can rule from, among other stories.
The Punch reports that Buhari was criticised by Nigerians for signing the Amended Deep Offshore and Inland Basin Production Sharing Bill during his visit to the UK.
He was especially attacked on why he signed the bill abroad if Vice President Yemi Osinbajo could have easily done the same here in Nigeria
The Nation reports that the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, on Tuesday, November 5, said that the president can rule from anywhere in the world.
He made the comment when he led members of the National Working Committee of APC to pay a visit to Senate President Ahmad Lawan and other principal officers of the upper chamber.
there was great outrage by aides of former presidents over presidency’s claims that former leaders of the country asked for tips before awarding contracts.
It should be noted that the comment was made by Garba Shehu on Monday, November 4, where he said that the president has done away with the old ways of asking for bribes before contracts are given out.
