Following the incident which occurred where protesters barricaded the streets Of Yenagoa, the protesters stormed the house of Governor-elect of the Bayelsa Governorship election.
The suspected members were said to be APC members who were not happy with the decision made by the supreme court judgment which ousted Senator Duoye Diri ad the Governor-elect of the state.

Residents had to run helter-skelter for their lives when the protesters stormed the Governor elect’s building destroying properties, vandalizing cars, breaking windows and doors, also destroying lots of properties.
They also vandalized the public library belonging to the representing member of the Kolokuma/Opakuma and the Yenagoa Federal constituency in the National assembly, the PDP secretariat in Yenagoa, and The Radio Bayelsa station.
