Police Smash Gun-Running Syndicate, Recover Weapons Inside Alcoholic Packs A suspected member of a gun-running syndicate that supplies weapons to criminal gangs in Lagos has been arrested by the Police.

Recovered, were two berretta pistols that were concealed inside alcoholic packs and wooden boxes.

The arrested suspect, Samuel Peter, was reportedly on his way to deliver the weapon to some criminals when operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Ajah area of the state, apprehended him.

When accosted, he told the operatives that the content of the box was Colorado drug. But when they insisted on him opening the box, the berretta pistols were found. Police sources hinted that the operatives stormed Jakande Estate, Lekki, following information that some boys were planning to cause havoc.

In his confessional statement, the suspect, said:

“ Mayaki gave the box to me to deliver to one Paul. I am an iron bender, I knew Mayaki at Jakande estate.

He told me the content was Colorado drug.

“I have served as a delivery boy for Mayaki for a while and didn’t know what was in the box, as I never opened it.

At the end of each delivery, I get N2,000 or N3,000, depending on the distance, as errand boy”, the Plateau- state born suspect said.

The suspects who were among those paraded by the Lagos State Police Command boss, CP Hakeem Odumosu, Monday, would e charged to court, while efforts were still on to arrest those mentioned.

  1. Theses kind of guys should continue to be exposed. So crime can reduce in this country. Thsnk God for exposing him.

  2. Nice one comrades…..pls do your job diligently to avoid high rated crimes in the country …one down…..pls pick Mr Miyaki and save 20 more citizens pls

  3. Hmm. Eye opening news. This errand guy could actually be innocent. Mr Mayaki ND the recipient of the package are those that needs to be arraigned.

  4. They’ve always known the syndicate,am sure a disagreement between them led to the parade.I do not trust them at all

  5. The suspect would be charged to court indeed…..story
    No be naija police again??
Bet me that guy will still be in prison by this time next year without been charged to court

  6. these youths should look for something better to do instead of such mischievous acts, Eg working in naijapalaba 😎
