The head of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of the Vatican City State, Pope Francis, has turned down the endorsed proposal to allow married men to serve as Priest in the Amazon region which will be against the celibacy rule for clergy.
Following a Synod that was held in October, admitting of married men into the priesthood was called by the Amazon Bishops prior to the lack of clergy in a remote rainforest vicinities.

Pope Francis made no mention of the request in a document marking his official response to the conference and he also lay down rules letting non-priests give the fundamental sacraments of the Confession and Holy Communion.
Pope’s authority has already been seen by the Amazon region as too humanistic following the extraordinary to the celibacy rule of the priests.
