Manchester United held at Club Bruges in their 1st leg match

Manchester United drew 1-1 as Anthony Martial scored

in the first leg of their Europa League against Belgium side Club Bruges.

Manchester united manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said his side was a ‘bit sloppy’ in the disappointing draw against Club Bruges.

Manchester United started poorly and were behind in just 15 minutes after Emmanuel Dennis lobbed Sergio Romero.

Anthony Martial equalized for the visitors before half time after he beats ex Liverpool goal keeper Simon Mignolet in a one-on-one situation.

Solskjaer said after the game “I don’t think it was one of the best games anyone’s seen”

“It was a difficult game against a well organized team in difficult conditions” He continued. 

“We got an away goal, we got a draw. We go home next week so hopefully we can finish the job”.

Heavy rains and strong wind dominated the weather for large periods where the game is been played.

United boss also felt the ball been used in Europa games didn’t help the quality of the display.

I think you can ask any of the players, that ball doesn’t help anyone play football,” he added.

“It’s just different and difficult to play with. You can get one and try!

“But it’s the same for the two teams, of course. But the conditions weren’t nice, the wind and the rain.”

The return leg will take place at Old Trafford on 27 February where the both sides will look to qualify for the last 16.
