2023 Election: I won’t retire from politics until I become President – Bola Tinubu says

While addressing delegates and party members in Makurdi, Benue State capital, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Former Governor of Lagos state and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, said that he won’t retire from politics until he becomes President of Nigeria.

Tinubu who admitted that he is ‘of age,’ also promised to turn around the fortune of the country where corruption will be tackled on all fronts and also ensure peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.

He said;

“We are of age; we can retire soon but I am not going to retire until I become President.

“I will govern with all my strength, we will work with you to reverse trend of corruption, there are elements of division but our commitment to Nigeria is for peaceful coexistence to build up and demonstrate unity and live together in peace and harmony.”

In other news, Former Governor of Lagos State and 2023 presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu, has reacted to the presidential declaration of his protege, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. Osinbajo declared his intention to run for President in 2023, on Monday , April 11.

This comes weeks after Tinubu who introduced him to politics in 2015 and presented him as Buhari’s running mate, also declared his intention to run for President come 2023.

Both men are now to slug it out for the APC presidential ticket during the party’s primary in May. Shortly after his consultation with APC governors earlier today, Tinubu was accosted by newsmen to react to the declaration of ”his son”, an apparent reference to Osinbajo.
