Just In: Ondo students block highway over prolonged ASUU strike (photos)

In Ondo state, Students of different Universities have blocked the Ilesha/Akure road protesting on the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in the country.

Meanwhile Naijaalaba.com gathered that: Shut down everything with mass action”- Sowore advises Nigerian students to continue their protest over the ongoing strike

The protesting students were drawn from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, and the Olusegun Agagu University of Technology, Okitipupa.

The angry students blocked the road to vent their anger over their continued stay at home due to protracted industrial action by the striking lecturers.

ASUU has been on strike since February 14, 2022.

In another news, Ex Big Brother Naija housemate Olamilekan Massoud Al-Khalifah Agbeleshebioba popularly known as Laycon, has slammed the Nigerian government over the state of the nation.

On Monday , April 25, 2022, The reality TV star took to his Twitter page to express his worry over the attitude of federal government toward the ongoing ASUU strike that has left Nigerian students at home for months.

“I’m scared ooo, I’m really scared. What kind of government is this !!! Universities are closed, they have been closed for months and this mandem are focused on elections alone,” he tweeted.
