Fear in Ado-Ekiti as Governor Kayode Fayemi visit Explosion Scene

An Explosive Ordinance Device visited the State Capital as the residents of Ado-Ekiti were stunned on Saturday. However, It was also confirmed that there were no casualties recorded.

The location of the incident was the EOD Office of the Nigerian Police Headquarters located on the Old Governor’s Road.

Amba Asuquo, the Commissioner of Police in the state also linked the explosion to some bomb detection kept in the vicinity which may have exploded by a technical occurrence, the development was then confirmed to Channels Television.

He said,

“These demolition accessories, in case there’s is a bomb blast and they want to rescue out of that place, they might have the need for it. so it was kept in their stock house and it must have exploded from there”.

Mr. Kayode Fayemi, the State Governor was spotted at the scene but declined the request of the journalist relating to the issue.
