COVID-19 Palliatives: Shooting reported in Felele, Lokoja as hoodlums strike

Currently their is a sporadic shooting at Lokoja, the Kogi state capital when some suspected hoodlums appear at warehouse of the agricultural Development Project (ADP) in the state capital to still the agricultural paliatives meant for the farmer in the state.

Naijapalaba News has put together that the warehouse is located at Felele Okene, Abuja road.

The thugs were seen taking away fertilizers, seedings,rice,machines e.t.c that were meant to be given to the state farmers.

Our team put together that despite the effort of the police men in the state and other security to stope the thugs it still not go as planed.

Following the thugs Wahala everywhere int he country it was reported to naijapalaba news that 3 people has lost their lives in Lokoja warehouse on sunday afternoon while trying to join cart away the remaining COVID-19 palliatives.

Our report followed that the state governor has ordered the remaining COVID-19 palliative be distributed to people.

The source added that the people were only responding to the governor’s order.

It was further learned that security agencies deployed to the area encouraged residents to go inside and collect their palliatives without a problem.

They also advised the people to maintain peace and avoid anything that could lead to a stampede.

Some of the women who spoke with our correspondent confirmed that they were there in response to the Governor’s directive that the remaining items be distributed to the people.

“I am here to see if I will be lucky to get some food items for my family since things have not been easy for us since the COVID-19 pandemic,” one of the women said.

But the Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya who spoke to our correspondent refuted the claims saying nobody died while palliatives were distributed in Lokoja the state capital.
