2020 ITTF Africa Cup – Egyptian Ahmed Saleh beat Nigerian Aruna Quadri to win the trophy

Nigerian and Africa Number one Aruna Quadri was dumbfounded when he was beaten on Wednesday at the men’s single final of the 2020 ITTF Africa Cup by Egypt’s Ahmed Saleh in Tunisia.

Egyptian number 2,  Ahmed Saleh, triumph over Aruna Quadri in an entertaining match that went on into seven sets at the Tunis sports complex,  Tunisia.

Both players won the four sets, claiming two sets each. Saleh then claimed the 5th set winning by 11-9.

Aruna then proceed to win the 6th with similar score line to settle the scoreline at three apiece (3-3).     (6-11,11-5,9-11,11-6,11-9,9-11)

Then the Egyptian then went on to claim the a hard fought 4-3 win in the deciding set to dent hopes Aruna Quadri claiming his first title in 2020.

The sequence goes thus:

(11-6,5-11,11-9,6-11,11-9,9-11,11-3).
